Papa Bear Aid Station Medium Priority

Details

Pass out water and energy drinks as racers go by. Further instructions will be provided at the start of your shift.

Parking Directions - Drive on US 41 to M203 and turn left. Take M203 for 4.1 miles and park along M203 near the trailhead parking lot on left (opposite large Cloverland Rd sign). The hike in is about 200 yards.

Ed's Aid Station (new name for Cedar) High Priority

Details

Pass out water and energy drinks as racers go by. Further instructions will be provided at the start of your shift.

Location

Parking Directions - Park at Swedetown Chalet. You will need to hike in 1/3 of a mile to the aid station, allow 15 minutes. Hike is on the snowbike trail which starts to the right of Valley Trail entrance gates. This avoids making footprints on the groomed race course. The hike takes fifteen minutes and the trail is easy to follow. You may need snowshoes for this hike in, depending on conditions.

Finish Line Refreshments Medium Priority

Serve drinks and snacks to racers as after they cross the finish line.

Race Sweeps

Race Sweeps High Priority

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Sweep the 25km or 50km race (following the last skier). Two sweeps follow the last 25k skier, two follow the last 50k skier for the first lap (25k), and two follow the last 50km during the second lap (preferably on snow bikes). Can be done on skis or snow bikes and will need to ski or bike 25km.
